Long-copy sales letter in bite-sized stories
ElliottWave.com is the home of the world’s largest financial forecasting firm, Elliott Wave International. Its subject matter is highly technical with important implications for investors. EWI’s long-copy landing pages are reminiscent of the direct mail sales letters of the past – updated for the web.
UPDATE: We helped EWI transfer to a new CMS in 2016 with new, shorter landing page copy and other copy across the site. Once other site functionalities come online, we plan to experiment with the longer sales letter-style pages that have been so successful for them in the past—updated to today’s mobile-response design standards.
Book promo for highly technical securities traders
When Wiley Publishing and Bloomberg Financial teamed up with Elliott Wave International to publish the definitive guide on its highly technical, ultra-niche method of market analysis for securities traders, they turned to one of our copywriters to write the book promotion text. Wiley Executive Editor Kevin Commins called our work, “Very well done. It was aggressive and credible at the same time. … I’m sure the book will be a steady seller for a long time.”
Teaching kids colors one fun story at a time
Children’s book author Jaime Grimes is a professional copywriter in her own right, having worked for major online brands, including ApartmentGuide.com and AutoTrader.com. This slideshow was created for one of Elliott Wave International’s numerous lead-generation campaigns. We also upcycled in into an infographic. SlideShare is just one of the many social channels EWI leverages for sharing compelling content, creating demand for its services and driving conversions. When up-and-coming poet Mimi Zollars created her first website, she needed everything from soup to nuts. So we used her initials and life in the ballet to inspire a clean and sleek logo, which prompted an ecstatic reply, “I. Love it. It’s pretty badass guys. After building four websites for Daniel Walker, a long-time client and one of the top luxury real estate agents on Florida’s beautiful Emerald Coast, Daniel asked the Copywriter Factory to create an ultra high-end listing presentation that would wow his multi-million dollar home sellers. Maryann Blackburn has worked as professional designer since the 1990s—first as a set decorator for hit films such as Eight Men Out and later as an interior designer for the home and office. A website for writers, by writers, about writing
Stuff Writers Like is a pet project our founder, Gary Grimes, had floating in his head for awhile, so we decided to turn it into a real thing. The new site is built on the incredibly powerful and versatile WPLMS theme by Vibe Themes, which allows it to host user-submitted online courses, a WooCommerce store and a BuddyPress-driven community. We are excited to see where it goes once it officially launches early 2015.

TrueWay Properties is a premier real estate investment firm based in Atlanta. Their content was stale and their design out of date, so the owner contacted us to develop new content and a new design. The new site, powered by WordPress, saved them tons of time and maintenance costs right out of the gate.
